Rakesh leads the foundation’s financial inclusion work in India, helping more people access financial tools that support economic growth.
He joined the foundation from Caregroup Sight Solution Pvt Ltd, a global medical technology company specializing in intraocular lenses, where he was CEO. Previously, he co-founded an allergy diagnostic chain to improve health care access in smaller Indian cities, building a model that could grow and last.
Earlier in his career, Rakesh worked in investment banking, advising companies on partnerships, mergers, and raising capital across various industries. He holds an MBA from FMS Delhi and a B.Tech in computer science and engineering from JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad.
