Growth and Response

As Greater Austin’s population has grown, so has demand for access to exceptional medical care. By partnering with Austin’s top practitioners and health care institutions, we are creating a medical system that meets Austin families’ needs — from world-class transplant and surgery centers to new care models that expand community access to preventive care and treatment options.

Establishing Partnerships

Since 2004, we have helped expand access to health care in Austin, starting with the establishment of Dell Children’s Medical Center, one of only five Level 1 pediatric trauma centers in Texas.

We’ve helped launch key programs like the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living and the expansion of Dell Children’s Medical Center to serve 46 Texas counties. In 2012, we partnered to establish Dell Medical School, which is driving innovation in health care, graduating its first class of doctors in 2020.

Our ongoing investments are fueling innovation in clinical care and research, creating a thriving medical community providing best-in-class care for families.

Continuous Advancement

Over two decades, Austin has become a leading health care hub, where groundbreaking specialists, medical pioneers, and patients converge. This transformation has brought world-class care directly to local families, ensuring they receive advanced treatment without leaving their home city and support systems.

  • Dell Children’s Medical Center offers the most comprehensive pediatric specialty programs and procedures in the region.
  • Dell Medical School scientists have submitted more than 140 patents for innovative medical technologies.
  • Dell Seton Medical Center will add 150 patient beds and space for operating rooms, transplant procedures, and specialty care in 2025, solidifying Austin’s status as a health care model for the future.
